November 10th 2021 holds special memories. It being the day Moitheki Farms came to life/ was birthed.
I named the farming business in honour of my mother, Johanna Moitheki Mthembu born Mogapi.
To get to this place, I had to sacrifice the comfort of my home and family and move to another province, Mpumalanga, place of the rising sun. I had never been to Mpumalanga before and I knew no one there. It could only have been my calling that I thought was a passion, the two are intertwined.
I bless the day in November 2019 that Nozipho Gamede daughter to Sibongile Gamede the owner of the land, approached me with this wonderful proposition to go view the land with her to see what I could do with it, all 8.5ha of it!
Not an ounce of fear beset me instead I was elated, ecstatic over the moon! Up to that point I had never touched a shovel nor planted a seed! All I had was hope, a dream, a vision.
You know I just noted that the formal proposition came in November 2019 and Moitheki Farms Pty Ltd was birthed in November 2021!
I know you want to know more but for now, this November celebrate Moitheki Farms 1st birthday with me.
